2023: PDP, LP Guilty Of Abusive Campaigns – Keyamo
The Chief Spokesman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo, has accused both the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP) of non-adherence to issue-based campaigns.
Speaking in a chat with Vanguard on Thursday, Keyamo said the two opposition parties are perpetrators of campaigns of calumny and are guilty of abusive campaigns.
He alleged that the PDP and the LP have continued to verbally attack the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, and party members, saying that the ruling party would focus on issue-based campaigns.
The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, therefore, stated that the ruling party would continue to adhere to the provisions of the Electoral Act 2022.
Keyamo said: “This is just reverse psychology. They have attacked our candidate from head to toe and abandoned the real issues at stake. They have picked on every single alphabet he says and twisted them out of context. But so far, we have kept our focus.”
Tinubu: Even Witches, Wizards Can’t Accuse Atiku Of Being A Religious Bigot – Dino Melaye
A chieftain of the PDP, Senator Dino Melaye, said on live TV that even witches and wizards cannot accuse the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, of being a religious bigot.
Naija News reports that the PDP Presidential Campaign Council spokesperson wasted no time selling Atiku’s candidacy when he appeared in a live interview with Channels Television’s Politics Today.
According to him, the Waziri of Adamawa is the only nationalist among the 18 presidential candidates who has friends in every nook and cranny of Nigeria.
Taking a swipe at the opposition, Melaye said nobody knows Tinubu in the core North and South-Eastern part of Nigeria.
He stressed that Tinubu did not visit even the entire South-West while seeking APC’s presidential ticket, adding that Atiku, on the other hand, went around and was received in all the regions.
