Adamawa Governor, Fintiri Proceeds With Campaign Despite Five Deaths In Convoy’s Accident
The convoy of the Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri was involved in a road accident on Thursday.
Naija News had earlier reported that the incident which happened at Fadama-Reke in Hong Local Government Area of the state led to the death of five people.
Governor Fintiri was on their way for a campaign rally in the Mubi South Local Government Area of the state.
However, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in the state, who is seeking reelection continued his campaign despite the accident.
Fintiri during the rally at Mubi pledged free education if he gets reelected as the state Governor.
He further stated that he would make registration for final-year students in secondary schools free.
The Adamawa State Governor while addressing the supporters said, “I came to Mubi for the campaign in 2018, and in 2019, I prayed to Allah for success to bring succour to the downtrodden and he has answered our prayers.
“I have initiated 11 points agenda in which I prioritised security and we have succeeded in securing the people and we will ensure that the people of the state are secured.
“I will make education free, I will pay scholarship and make a registration for the final year students in secondary school free.”
