Atiku-Okowa campaign organisation hails Okonkwo on 57th birthday

The Atiku-Okowa Presidential Campaign Organisation has congratulated Prof. Obiora Okonkwo as he marks his 57th birthday.

A statement by the Deputy Director of Media and Publicity for the organisation, Uloka Chukwubuikem, praised Okonkwo for his contributions to Igbo unity, stability, and socioeconomic progress as well as that of Nigeria as a whole.

He described Obiora as a detribalised and compassionate Nigerian whose core precepts are based on national cohesion, prosperity, development and tranquility.

It noted that through his pet project, Pro Value Initiatives, which aims to empower and develop young Nigerians from all ethnic backgrounds for the purpose of national integration and development, Okonkwo, founder and chairman of United Nigeria Airlines, has repeatedly demonstrated his commitment to nation-building, wealth creation, youth development, and empowerment.

“The Ogidi-born political juggernaut, business magnate, educator, detribalised Nigerian and proud Zikist as well as a student of the late Chief Michael Okpara school of political and development thought, have long volunteered his services and served as a focal point for the Igbo and other Nigerians. In addition to other prestigious roles he has in trust for the country, he is currently the President of the Nigeria-Russia Chambers of Commerce and Industry (NRCCI).

“We at the Peoples Democratic Party and the Atiku-Okowa Presidential Campaign Organisation Anambra State, must cordially praise Prof. Obiora Okonkwo, OFR leadership dexterity, sincerity of purpose, and above all, his involvement in the Igbo Renaissance for which he has continued to commit his God given talent, wisdom and resources. We commemorate his birthday and ask the Almighty God to strengthen, support, and bless him abundantly in good health so that he’d continue to serve God’s desire for humanity, Ndi-Igbo, and all of Nigerians.”
