Olamide finally clears the air after Wizkid says rap is dead and boring

Popular Nigerian rapper, Olamide in a recent post on social media finally clears the air after Grammy-Award winner Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun professionally as Wizkid addresses the rap music genre as being dead and boring.

Recall few days ago, The “Essence” crooner got social media buzzing during his interview with 10 magazine as he argued for the dominance of Afrobeats over Hip-Hop and by extension berated Nigerian rappers.

The controversial statement by Wizkid wasn’t welcome by most Nigerian rappers, while some throw shades at him, others said Wizkid has right to his own opinions noting that everybody is guilty in that conversation.

Reacting, Olamide who recently performed at his signee Asake’s show in London, UK said rap is never dead.

Speaking further Olamide said rap is on the rise as there have been difference now compared to before as Nigerian rappers are doing well at the moment.

Taking to his verified Instagram page, Olamide wrote, “We ain’t never left, acting like we back, you should see us now taking pictures acting like we rap.”
